Going through a hard time?

I will share with you the story of Job, this man was very wealthy and had a big family. He lost it all, his kids died, he lost his wealth, but he didn’t lose his faith and trust in God. For that faith, God rewarded Job with double the wealth and family. The moral of Job’s story is regardless of what we face we shall live by faith not by sight. Do not let today’s troubles keep your mind from the eternal blessings that God had in store as your reward for your faith. May God bless you and your family for generations to come!

John 16:33

John 16:33 (NIV)  “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

No matter what is in front of you in your life right now, anything you are facing. God shows us that we will have thought in this world, that is because, we are not in heaven. Heaven is where everything will be PERFECT. God does let us have peace in the fact that he loves us and tells us he has already overcome the world, just know that thing in your mind that is stressing you out and keeping you awake late at night, God knows about and already has the result in hand. He will deliver you on the other side. Take heart and know he is more powerful than anything we will ever face, and he is on your side!

Philippians 1:6

Philippians 1:6 (NIV)  being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Before you are born God knows you, he has a plan for you and your life. We may not always use the time he gives us in the wisest ways, but he loves us regardless. I know some people are great teachers, some great artists, and athletes. The most amazing gift I have gotten to witness is the person that is a great LISTENER. They are being used by God to help us that aren’t quite as spiritually mature. Sometimes we need to vent to a person to get a feeling that someone is listening…do you ever get that feeling? Have you ever done that? Spoke with God and then go speak to a person because you felt like maybe God isn’t listening or giving you the imediate response you crave? I know I have, but tying back to the scripture is that if you have ever had that first part of the conversation where you speak to God then he has started working on you and growing you spiritually. He will not give up no matter how many times we do. Remember that God loves you, refer to John 3:16 (NIV)  “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,  that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Challenges

I have not been posting the last little while. I appreciate your support. I have had some personal challenges that have kept me from posting. I have it on my heart to post tonight. God has given me such a blessing of a life. If you look at your life as a whole, i’m sure you will agree you have a blessed life as well.

We do however face challenges in our life, some harder to overcome than others. The common solution for our challenges is Jesus! If we look how good we have it instead of at the size of the challenge we will be grateful and the thing to be most grateful about is that Jesus died for us and God is with us and is the king of Kings and has our lives planned out for us!

John. 17:20-21

John 17:20-21 (NIV)  “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,

that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

How does it feel that Jesus was praying for you and I during these verses? I know it makes me realize how perfect Jesus was. He prayed for his disciples, but also the ones of us that believe their message. Don’t get me wrong, im not saying that John spoke directly to me, but his word is what im reading, studying, and sharing. He is a disciple of Jesus. Do you see my point, of how Jesus prayed for us? Think of that today as you go about your life, think about the power of prayer and the love that God and Jesus have for us.

John 16:33

John 16:33 (NIV)  “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Jesus is speaking to his disciples, letting them know about what is about to happen, Jesus came from God and is going to go back to God, and they will not see him for a little while then they will. He tells them and warns them of what is to come, the world rejoicing that Jesus is dead. He uses the example of a woman giving birth and going through pain until after the birth when she has her love, forgets the pain and replaces it with joy! He warns them that they will be separated, but he leaves them with: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

John 15:4-5

John 15:4-5 (NIV)  Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Jesus made a lot of people mad, yes the one we love and cherish. That very one. He pointed out that people we not perfect, buy sinful and they couldn’t stand that. He is the perfect example of bearing much fruit by obeying God. If we would obey in such a way that Jesus did, can you imagine the blessings that would be bestowed upon us? God is perfect, Jesus is perfect, we are IMPERFECT. A lot of us want to be perfect, we strive for perfection just to fall on our face in failure. We shouldn’t be so obsessed with perfection, but in doing our best and being as obedient to God as possible. We will fall short, but he loves us still. Come to him, talk with him, let him talk control and see your life change.
