I have been doing a bit of reading and searching looking for happiness, hope, and freedom. I was laying in bed this morning and God dropped some great thoughts in my head. He said if you are negative and keep telling yourself that you are stuck or it’ll never get better then, how will you ever be ready to accept God’s next step for you? After we hear or say something so much we eventually begin to believe it, even if it’s not true. The point I’m trying to make is, keep telling yourself that God is in control and he is working for your good and be ready to jump when he says jump. He made you, he knows everything there is to know about you and about everything! Be in the right mindset to accept his next blessing for you!
When is the last time you let your guard down and truly surrendered to God and his plan? For me it’s been a while, but it hit me like a ton of bricks Tonight and I got on my knees and asked God and Jesus to take back lead over my life and the lives that I impact.
It’s easier than you may think to lose your way, It happens a little at a time until your time of prayer, your Bible study, you being the servant God placed you here to be all become 2nd priority. In my case it has been money, I keep thinking thoughts and focusing on ways to make more money. The thought, if I just had more money life would be easier, but that is incorrect. I know this, but God needed me to gain perspective tonight. I just hope this message helps someone else in their walk with God, whether it be the beginning or you have the best relationship humanly possible with him. Please take a moment or more if you need and ask Jesus and God to lead you in your journey here on this Earth. It is temporary and just that a journey, hills and valleys, but when our last breath is taken we will have arrived to our destination, heaven or hell. The choice is is ours, our debts have been paid with Jesus’ pierced hands.
This is a reminder for anyone and everyone. As long as we hold God close and keep him in our hearts that we have no reason to fear! He has everything under control. Those bills, the marriage, the purpose of your life. All of those things our father has under control, let us not believe when the devil comes knocking, saying how we are failures or how we are not good enough, don’t let him shake you. Keep telling him his future is cared for, he will burn for eternity, but because you have your Savior Jesus Christ that died on the cross for you and overcame death, you will not be SHAKEN or stopped by the devil’s lies!
Joshua 4:23-24 (NIV) 23)For the Lord your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over. The Lord your God did to the Jordan just what he had done to the Red Sea when he dried it up before us until we had crossed over.
24)He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the Lord is powerful and so that you might always fear the Lord your God.”
Not just once, but twice God put this miracle on display. Once, parting the Red Sea for Moses. Then, a second time for Joshua. We see God’s Power multiple times throughout the Bible. He performs miracles every single day, even today is a miracle that God has blessed us with. The heart beating in your chest, the sun shining and growing the trees and grass, it’s all a blessing from above plus so much more that’s all around us.
The devil attacks us and gives us stuff to distract us from God’s power and the miracles he performs. He will make us focus on careers, car problems, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, anything it takes to get our mind off of God. We must remember God gave us Jesus to model our lives after. He focused on his ministry and sharing God’s love, we too must prioritize our lives to trying to be like Jesus. Give God the glory and respect he deserves. We can catch ourselves getting distracted by a million things on this Earth, remember to focus on Jesus and what he did with his time on Earth.
Big picture thinking: prioritize your life to live a life modeled after Jesus. In a world where we follow trends of celebrities and athletes are who we dream to be and strive to be, we should be looking at Jesus in that light with excitement and aww. If we could be following Jesus on Facebook and excited for his next post or highlight would you? You can, we can read in the Bible about Jesus performing miracles (the highlight plays if you will). He had a hall of fame career where he ended it in a way that no athlete will ever be able to. Giving us grace up on that cross hung a man that was our perfect role model. Will you please thank him today for dying for all of our sins? He loves you and wants you to see his works and his sacrifice.
Let this message sink in and remember to fight away the devil and hold on tightly to our savior!
Good evening/morning/day depending on where and when you read this post. I hope you have had a very blessed day and week. I am reflecting on the past week as I am typing this post. It started out with an interview that left me feeling on cloud nine that a dream I have had would come true much sooner than expected, but as the week went on I found myself down in the dumps. Why? It’s not because I didn’t get denied the job (still waiting), but I think it’s because of my Perspective. I allowed the devil to play with my mind. I had lost focus on the most consistent thing in my life, that is God. I just kept praying to hear something back and to get the job. I was praying for God’s will to be done in my mind, but deep in my heart I was actually praying for my will to be done. If I have learned anything in my 24 years on this Earth, it’s that God’s will shall be done, regardless of ours. He knows what we need and what’s best for us.
The end of the week after reevaluating how the week had gone. I feel much much better. I’m not angry or anxious about anything. God has taken all of the worry and put it on his shoulders. He has given me peace. I just wanted to share my week with you in hopes that it will help you if you are struggling with stress over your will vs. God’s will. Let God have his way, you will have more energy and be much much happier with the results 🙂

Galatians 6:4 (NIV) Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else
This verse was placed in front of me while I was looking for a verse related to Easter last week. I remember reading it and instantly relating it to what I’m going through right now. Currently I am exploring myself to find out more about myself. Some call it growing yourself, others have said it’s about unbecoming all of the things you are not. Either way it ends up being the same result if we bring God in the light and put him in charge.
But enough about me. Let’s apply this verse to your life. Since I am here to help share God’s word and inspire. Are you an aspiring entrepreneur? Are you in college trying to figure out what major you should be going towards? Are you a father or mother that is just starting out? No matter what situation you currently face. This verse is applicable. We only get one life here on earth, that is for all of us true. So, my point is that no matter what you are striving for, do it will all your efforts and don’t compare your results with others that may be trying to do something similar. Make it your journey, better yet make it a journey of you and God. Take God with you down your journey and my friend I promise you will get much greater blessings than you can sit and dream up. Do your best and bring God along. He never disappoints.
“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.” Romans 8:16
Remember growing up and learning to ride a bike? Typically you lean on your parents to teach you and help you. As you grow older typically you still come to them for advice and help. They love you and so does God. We are all Children of God, let us forever remember that we can go to God for help and advice as we live our life’s! He will always be there, never a tear, never a scrape, never a broken heart that he isn’t there with us…waiting for us to come to him.
