John. 17:20-21

John 17:20-21 (NIV)  “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,

that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

How does it feel that Jesus was praying for you and I during these verses? I know it makes me realize how perfect Jesus was. He prayed for his disciples, but also the ones of us that believe their message. Don’t get me wrong, im not saying that John spoke directly to me, but his word is what im reading, studying, and sharing. He is a disciple of Jesus. Do you see my point, of how Jesus prayed for us? Think of that today as you go about your life, think about the power of prayer and the love that God and Jesus have for us.

John 16:33

John 16:33 (NIV)  “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Jesus is speaking to his disciples, letting them know about what is about to happen, Jesus came from God and is going to go back to God, and they will not see him for a little while then they will. He tells them and warns them of what is to come, the world rejoicing that Jesus is dead. He uses the example of a woman giving birth and going through pain until after the birth when she has her love, forgets the pain and replaces it with joy! He warns them that they will be separated, but he leaves them with: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

John 15:4-5

John 15:4-5 (NIV)  Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Jesus made a lot of people mad, yes the one we love and cherish. That very one. He pointed out that people we not perfect, buy sinful and they couldn’t stand that. He is the perfect example of bearing much fruit by obeying God. If we would obey in such a way that Jesus did, can you imagine the blessings that would be bestowed upon us? God is perfect, Jesus is perfect, we are IMPERFECT. A lot of us want to be perfect, we strive for perfection just to fall on our face in failure. We shouldn’t be so obsessed with perfection, but in doing our best and being as obedient to God as possible. We will fall short, but he loves us still. Come to him, talk with him, let him talk control and see your life change.

Just Pray (video)

John 14:1-3

John 14:1-3 (NIV)  “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God ; trust also in me.

In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

How does it feel to know that as believers of God and Jesus, that they are making us a room at the Father’s house? When we come to know Christ and love him we gain access to a place that is beyond anything we could ever imagine or build here on earth. Let us thank God that he sent Jesus in the first place and will send him again. Let us also thank Jesus for loving us and the father so much that he fulfilled his calling in his time on earth. Without that where would we be? Definitely not looking forward to the room in God’s house!

John 13:34-35

John 13:34-35 (NIV)  “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Jesus is letting the disciples know that his time on earth is coming near and he will be going home to the Father. He gives them and us a task that would seem easy at first glance, that is love. We seem to have a hard time loving our neighbors, maybe even our family. I see the devil doing his best to try and make it look like Jesus didn’t have disciples and he didn’t die for our sins, but brothers and sisters I am here to glorify Jesus Christ and God Almighty! They fulfilled scripture and I am on a journey to spread that message with everyone I can! Please join me in my journey by passing on this great news! You never know who needs this to be introduced to them!

John 12:48-50

John 12:48-50 (NIV)  There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day.

For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it.

I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”
Before Jesus’ time on earth was up he called to the heavens to show the Jews yet another miracle of God. (John 12:28 (NIV)  Father, glorify your name!” Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.”). But in order for the God’s will to be done, not all of them could believe Jesus. So, Jesus told them about there being a judge that will hold them accountable for denying Jesus and God. Jesus only spoke into the world what God prompted him to. And what God prompted him is what leads us to eternal life, believing in Jesus!

John 11:25-26

John 11:25-26 (NIV)  Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;

and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
Jesus is speaking to lazarus’s sister Martha. This is also true today, if we will rejoice and accept Jesus as our Savior, we will never die spiritually! How great is it that we have a savior and God that doesn’t make us wait for glory, but they will show us glory in our life if we believe and open our eyes! Jesus performed the miracle of bringing Lazarus back to life after being in a tomb for 4 days. How great is it that he can bring us from our sins and help us be reborn! Hallelujah! Share his glory!
