Dig deep inside, feel the burning desire? Do you know that feeling that makes you feel invincible, ten foot tall, unstoppable, like nothing else matters? Yeah that thing…do that!

All You Need

What I have really seen change in my life recently is that all I need in life is the love of God and Jesus. I don’t need everyone to know me, I just need my heavenly father to know me and he has known me since before I was born!(Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”)

“Be your best self! Instead of doing something because of how many likes, comments or shares it will get, do it because it will make your father smile down at you” is what I continue to remind myself. If I do my best for his glory he will bless my life because I’m blessing his!

Looking For God

Whether we are facing a decision that has many possibilities or we are just going through normal everyday life, we need to be looking for God. God is where we need to be, he will show us the right way. Ask him to help you with that big decision. If his answer isn’t instant, then wait longer, wait as long as you need to know that is what God wants. You can make mistakes along the way yes, but most of those are decisions not centered around God and we just instinct. Just remember if you find yourself making that rush decision, think for a moment if it feels Godly.

Refocus, refresh, relearn, reforgive, relove….sometimes we have to repeat things in our life to learn them. In spelling class I always had to write the word 5 times, write the sentence 3 times and spell it out loud. Our minds are very much able to relearn. That can be to pray, to love, to forgive…all things we must do more than once. Don’t get down on yourself for having to go over something more than once to truly get it that is ok and at some point we all have to do it to understand something that God is teaching us, embrace it with a curious mind just like the first time. God may even teach you more the 2nd or 3rd time than the 1st.

Deuteronomy 8:10-14

Deuteronomy 8:10-14 (NIV) When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.
Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day.
Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down,
and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied,
then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
This is pretty straight forward, put God first and remember without him you would not be who you are or as successful as you are. Give him thanks in EVERY situation. He will continue to bless you! He loves you and is always with you.

Find Peace

In our lives we have tons of things that requires our energy. Sometimes I find myself feeling depleted of all of my energy. I feel like I have a huge boulder of problems and tasks on my back. When I find myself feeling like I cannot take anything more, I realize that I haven’t been spending enough time talking to God. When I am talking to God and telling him about all of the things in my life he gives me peace. He reminds me of Philippians 4:6 (NIV)  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. That very gets brought into my mind. If you are feeling overwhelmed by life right now, just take it to God and let him give you peace and promise.

Deuteronomy 1:30-31

Deuteronomy 1:30-31 (NIV) The Lord your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes,
and in the desert. There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.”

God has gone before each of us in our lives, he already knows what is in store for us, whether we choose to follow his will or whether we try to make our own path. If we follow his purpose it will be a much straighter path. As we follow him, he will do the fighting for us that we will or never have noticed. He is our loving father and will forever love us and protect us, we just need to take the steps in faith that are presented before us.
