16.Turn the into me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted (lonely and suffering) 17. The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses. 18. Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.
Are you lonely? Are you suffering? I know we all have a time and a place where we are. Maybe it was in your past, maybe right now. The thing to remember is that we are never truly alone, God is always with us. For instance, we have all most likely been in a place in our life where we were a #2 priority to a friend or family member. We would do anything for them and help them through a rough patch or bad situation. For some reason though, it was as if we were invisible to them. They say I’m fine I’m ok and yet you know them go neat themselves up while they are alone. This is how we can become if we are not careful. If you think back to that situation that you were there for your friend but, they never came to you, is that what you are letting happen to God? Are you trying to handle the whole issue and beating yourself up when it isn’t working out? God is that friend for us! He loves us unconditionally and does not have any interest in what we can do for him, just wants us to come to Jesus and ask for forgiveness of our sins.
If you have been like me and tried to handle it all without God I ask you to try and pray to him about the situation and see how he changes it and can help you! Ask him to hope you feel his presence and to help you through you suffering. I can attest that he has helped me and changed my situation on many many occasions and I still sometimes have to remind myself to let him carry the load of struggles. Don’t be like me and forget to use your Heavenly Father!
